~for those who dreamed of being a princess

As a very inexperienced lolita, I find myself constantly learning, and exploring the fashion! There's so much to see, I feel as if I'm walking into a magical land where everyone is beautiful. I believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way, but that lolita can make you FEEL beautiful! It's a powerful thing. It's not that beauty is the most important thing in life, it can just boost your confidence enough to reach for the stars. When you feel good about yourself, good things are more likely to happen!

Lolita is just another way of expressing yourself. After all - that's what fashion is supposed to be. It's not a contest, or a race, but a way to be you! I love how lolita fashion can make me, and others, feel so in touch with ourselves; like lolita was always a part of us, but we've only just had the pleasure of discovering it. Lolita is probably the closest someone can be to the traditional princess but with a modern twist, and this can help fullfill the dreams of many girls! The petticoats, the lace and ruffled skirts all portray a fairytale like life, that I know I wish I had.

But life is hard, and although lolita cannot make this life any easier; maybe, just maybe, it can make your life a little happier!

Outfit post #1 ~yay

This is my first outfit post, and I'm a novice in co-ordinating outfits, so please bear with me! I'm sure my co-ords will improve as time goes on (or so I hope). I posted this on Daily_Lolita and got some good comments, but I now realised that my bolero and white blouse don't really go together (thanks to the help of some very nice lolitas)! Never mind, better luck to me next time!

Since I don't have any meet-ups to go to or anything, I tend to just dress up for myself. So there's only pictures of little old me to post on here! And also since I'm the only lolita in my area, I get some pretty interesting reactions. Some smile, and some shout at me in the street. It is often actually quite amusing!

I recently got my very first petticoat, it was so unbelievably poofy once out of the box! It's amazing, and I'm so happy with it! It's so much easier than layering skirts under my outfit, but it's really hard to store. But never mind - it's worth it. I'm wearing it here by the way!

Outfit run-down:
JSK: Bodyline
Socks and blouse: Metamorphose
Shoes: Offbrand (Accessorize)
Bolero: Sweet Angel
Hair accessories: Handmade by me

Anyway - thank you for reading, and I'll be posting another outfit soon!

Introduction time!

This is Loli-pops - a new blog centred around japanese lolita fashion and its substyles! I hope you enjoy. This blog is going to be (hopefully) fun to read and contain research into lolita fashion, as well as the musings and life of a sweet lolita. I should think it'll be a mix of the two!

I am fairly new to the fashion, and I will be creating wardrobe posts as well as outfit posts and such like, so that you can watch the transformation of an ordinary girl to a lolita! It could be fun, right?

This blog is for all the budding lolitas out there, as well as the more experienced ones who maybe want to remember how they began to become a lolita! Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading this blog ~thank you for reading.

This is me, I thought it would help with the intro!
